had a mini movie fest today
spent the day w/ V today. we're both jobless for now, though she's got a job in august..and i, well, ... anyhoo, we decided to bum together, and decided to go watch harry potter 3 together, seeing as how we've got to be like the last ppl on earth to go watch it =T but yeah, so while i was checkn the times for HP3 at FMP via tribute.ca, i came across the poster for the notebook and just happened to comment that i wanted to watch that to. lo and behold, so did she! and so we were like..why not watch both t/m! hahah..and so we did.
and we also did some shopping inbetween the movies as well. although we didn't get much. we both got the SAME skirt, heheh. but who could resist? it was $10!!!!
anyways, reviews on HP3 and the notebook...
harry potter 3
it was REALLY good. it's just like everybody else has said, it's darker than the others. BUT, on the flip side, it's only reflecting on what the book's like, cuz it's getn darker too.
they're all growing up. i mean, they're get so tall now! u can really tell the difference from the last movie to this one.
hmm..the ending wasn't as good as what i'd thought it'd be. it was..i guess..dry-er than what i'd imagined from reading the book. a tad disappointed about that, BUT, overall, it's a good movie.
the notebook
it is as predictable as everybody has been saying it is. but they really did a good job in pulling the emotional strings...and i mean a GOOD job. i actually teared up like twice throughout the movie. and i NEVER cry during movies..'cept for armageddon. i can't watch it w/o crying. it's like the BEST movie ever.
anyways...yes, it really is a good movie. i'd say it's 'watch it in the theatres' worthy. it can be lame at times..there's some cheese to it..but, yeah...just go watch it. i like how they ended it though, as lame as it really is.
...I'll be seeing you.
