grrr...
i've always wondered why computers and me don't mix. we've got one messed up relationship. it hates me..and i'm dependent on it. go figure.
so here i am, happily listening to a guest lecture and typing up whatever interesting points she's bringing up, while playing some games inbetween slides.. then BAM! my ipaq shuts down. i see the screen slowly turn blank..then completely black.
so logically i try to make it come to life again. i tapped the screen w/ my finger, nothing happened. i tapped it w/ the stylus, still nothing. so i pressed a bit harder w/ my finger, again.. nothing happened. so i decided to push reset. then low and behold after a bunch of noises and stares from the ppl sitting around me. it turns on.... WITH BARELY ANYTHING ON IT!
so i just sit there flabbergasted and panicked because i've lost everything on it.
luckily we got a break soon after so i naturally grabbed my cell and ran outside to call clinton. and so his diagnosis was that i'd somehow managed to wipe out my entire hard drive. =|
from the way he was explaining it to me, although it is possible to wipe out the hard drive, it seems really complicated and i didn't really get it. therefore, there was NO way i could have done it on my own w/o having somebody rite there beside me taking me through it step by step.
and yet, i somehow managed to do it unknowingly. it's a mystery. one that probably nobody will ever be able to solve. it's not like i'd dropped it or mistreated it or anything. for $255..i think not.
but yeah, luckily i sync it regularly w/ my comp else i would have been UBER screwed. but yeah, now i just gotta wait around to get my Bible and games back. *sigh*
