moulin rouge and love
finally saw moulin rouge. now i know what ppl are talkn about when they keep on going on about how it's so good. it IS good. quite well done. so many good lines..but the best ones have got to be...
'diamonds [indeed] are a girl's best friend!' ~ Satine =D
'...a story about love. a love that will live forever.' ~ Christian
but the line that stuck most: 'the greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.' ~ Christian
it's so true. love is the greatest thing you can ever learn and feel. the ultimate love is self-less. too bad we're totally incapable of such love...BUT we're not completely w/o hope.
yes, we can't do it on our own. i mean, such a love that is expected of us (1 Cor. 13)..it's just not possible. BUT, w/ Christ, we can do all things.
Christ in me is patient, Christ in me is kind. Christ in me does not envy, Christ in me does not boast, Christ in me is not proud. Christ in me is not rude, Christ in me is not self-seeking, Christ in me is not easily angered, Christ in me keeps no record of wrongs. Christ in me does not delight in the evil but rejoices with the truth. Christ in me always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Christ in me NEVER fails.
~ my version of an excerpt from a love worth giving by max lucado
food for thought: what kind of love do we have to offer? His or ours?
